FAQ

The things riders ask before booking. If yours isn’t here, ask it on the quote form — it costs nothing and there’s no obligation.

It depends on the bike and how much of it you want covered. A full colour change on a mid-complexity bike starts at $1,650, and partial wraps and accents start at $575. A faired sport bike takes more labour than a naked, because more bodywork has to come off. Send the bike and the idea through the quote form and you get a real number rather than a range.

A typical full colour change is 2–3 days in the garage once it starts. Partials and accents are quicker. You get a timeline in writing before any film is cut, and if a panel needs work before it can be wrapped you hear that first rather than on collection day.

Yes. Single panels, a tank on its own, a tail section, or a two-tone split across the bodywork are all normal jobs. If you have a scratched panel and want it covered rather than the whole bike changed, that’s a partial wrap.

Yes — helmet wraps are half of what this shop does. A helmet is compound curves in every direction, so it takes longer per square foot than a fairing, but the result is a lid nobody else has. We won’t wrap a helmet that has been dropped or is past its date.

That’s the request we like most. Pick “Both” on the quote form and the design gets worked out across the two together, so the colours, the finish and the graphic placement line up rather than being applied twice separately.

Quality cast vinyl protects factory paint when it is installed and removed correctly. The risk is with paint that is already compromised — oxidised, previously resprayed badly, or lifting — because removal can take that with it. We will not wrap panels in that state without talking about it first.

Cast films from the manufacturers we buy from are generally rated for several years on vertical surfaces, and how long yours actually lasts depends on sun, storage and washing. A bike kept outside all summer ages faster than one in a garage. We’ll tell you what to expect for the specific film you pick rather than quote a headline number.

Paint protection film — a clear, thicker film that goes over the areas that take physical damage rather than changing how the bike looks. On a motorcycle that usually means the tank where your knees and jacket buckle sit, and the leading edges that catch stones. It can go over paint or over a colour-change wrap.

Light scratches, yes. Vinyl is thin and it follows what is underneath, so deep scratches, dents and flaking clear coat will still read through the film — and a lifting edge will make the wrap fail early. Deeper damage needs sorting before the film goes on. Send photos with your quote and you’ll get a straight answer.

No — we do that here, and it is included in the labour. Taking panels off is what allows the film to wrap around the edge instead of being trimmed flush at it, which is the difference between a wrap that stays put and one that starts lifting.

Yes. Ride or trailer it to the Jersey City garage at no charge, or we collect it — pickup starts at $75, and pickup with return delivery afterwards starts at $150. Either way it is quoted with the build, not charged up front. A bike that won’t start is still fine; say so and we bring the right kit.

The garage is in Jersey City, and it is the only place the film gets cut. Brooklyn and New York City are pickup runs — there is no second shop in either. If you are outside that run, say where you are on the quote form and you’ll get an honest answer about whether we can reach you.

No, and most riders don’t. “Something dark with a red accent” is a fine starting point. Upload a photo of the bike and anything you like the look of — other bikes, colours, artwork — and we work it out from there. There is a “not sure” option on every question that needs one.

No. Motorcycles and helmets only. The whole shop is set up around bodywork that comes off a bike.
